This painting... oh god this painting. I wanted to get at least one more thing up before i leave on holidays for a month, so i started this thinking, yeah should take and hour or two.... 12 hours later and ta da! Its all done. The flowers were the hardest part, but i'm damn proud of the actual butterfly, i was trying to make it lifelike and furry, so i hope i captured that. Feel free to it and comment, i wanna know what i gotta work on.
Tools: Adobe Photoshop CS2
Stock photo from somewhere... :S found it on my computer.
Time: 12 and a bit hours.

His ear-lobe fell in the deep.
Someone reached in and grabbed it.
It was a rock lobster.
I really like this one. Partly, because I love butterflies...partly because it's cute that you called it flutterby...and partly because you've done such a fantastic job on it.
It all looks so lifelike, which obviously, was the point. The leaves and the flowers are spot on I think. The only thing I'd do (if I knew how to) would be with the butterfly's wings. You know how butterfly wings have that dusty, not quite opaque look? You know I'm completely lacking when it comes to artistic talent, so there's no need to pay much attention to what I say Just an observation I guess.
oooooooooooooooh how prettaayyy!!!
this is an amazing job... must fav fo' suure
and i would like to give some critique as you requested... but coz i dont paint like that i really have nothing to say
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
